PAST:

Here’s an attempt to collect the bands that I have played with over time. This is by far not complete, and I keep updating it as more and more memories come back.

Feuerwehrkapelle Kirchardt (1980s)

This is where it all began for me. After playing the trumpet for a few years I switched to the drums. Back then bass drum and snare was played by 2 different people. After a while I managed to “introduce” the full drum kit to the band. I remember the skeptic views when I first brought in my toms.

MBD Big Band (1990s)

My next stop was the Big Band of the Musikschule Bad Friedrichshall-Duttenberg which took me on my first “tour” to Hungary and France. I joined as a percussionist and later on took over the drums from Thomas Zimmermann who I still admire for his creative drumming and who runs a very cool drum school today ( https://schlagzeugunterricht-heidelberg.de/ ).
